Youth Achievement Program
The Youth Achievement Program comes from a desire and a need to involve more youth in
the equine industry. Our mission is to introduce more Iowa Horse Show Association youth
to different facets of the equine industry. This program aims to promote a love and
appreciation for all the different areas in which horses can be used, as well as allowing
youth to explore different employment opportunities within the equine industry. The Youth
Achievement Program hopes to promote a sense of independence, empowerment, positive
relationships, and community service in our growing population of junior exhibitors.
Participants can find requirements for the Youth Achievement Program on this page. All
youth members are welcome to participate, from horse enthusiast to academy rider to
performance riders. Any events at which participants can earn points will be also posted
below. Points Journals will be emailed to participants by an IHSA Youth Council Member
upon nomination.
